Use Ahrefs Free Traffic Checker tool to find the organic traffic of your competitor’s website. This tool provides an estimate of the monthly organic search traffic a website receives.
Step 3: Determine Traffic Value ($)
Find the traffic value of your competitor’s website in dollars. Ahrefs traffic value is the cost of paid search traffic from all the keywords that a website organically ranks for.
It represents what their organic traffic is worth in terms of ad spend, if they ran ads for the same keywords that they rank for organically.
Step 4: Organize Your Data
Add your findings to a spreadsheet for easy analysis. Make sure to include the traffic value in dollars and any other relevant data you gather.
Step 5: Calculate Traffic Value ($) per Visitor
Divide the traffic value in dollars by the total number of organic visitors to find the traffic value per visitor. This metric will help you understand the value of each visitor your competitor is attracting through organic search.
Step 6: Rank Competitors by Traffic Value
Sort your spreadsheet by traffic value per visitor, from highest to lowest.
This will help you identify the top performers in your industry and understand which competitors are worth emulating.
